It is designed as one kind of ±15kV ESD-protected, slew-rate-limited, low-power, RS-485/RS-422 transceiver device that can be used in wide range of applications such as low-power RS-485 transceivers, low-power RS-422 transceivers, Level translators, transceivers for EMI-sensitive applications, industrial-control local area networks. Also the MAX485ESA+T features reduced slewrate drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables.
